Jeffrey Hicks, an Atlanta native, has been a real estate broker with Apollo Associates Realty since 1995, specializing in acquisitions, feasibility analysis, financial performance, asset management, and sales. He served as President of the Empire Board of Realtists, Inc. (EBR) from 2009-2010 and then as President of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB®) from 2017-2019. At NAREB, he focused on increasing Black homeownership through economic solutions, community rebuilding, and raising real estate values. He also acted as the organization's spokesperson for industry and government relations, expanded funding sources, and oversaw the national headquarters. In 2021, Jeffrey chaired the National Association of Realtors (NAR) Fair Housing Public Policy Committee, advocating for equal housing opportunity and diversity in real estate. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Redress Movement, a Black-led organization combating racial residential segregation. He chairs the Board of Trustees at Providence Missionary Baptist Church. He has two children, Jessica (19) and James (16). Jeffrey’s life is guided by a quote from Dr. Benjamin E. Mays: “Every man and woman is born into the world to do something unique and something distinctive, and if he or she does not do it, it will never be done.”
